Watermans is more than just a hair care brand it’s a story of resilience, teamwork, and personal triumph. Founded in 2012 by Gail and Matt Waterman, this brand was born out of their shared struggle with hair loss and the desire to find a real solution. Gail salon owner of 30 years & of Jamaican mixed-race heritage, experienced fine, weak hair and significant hair loss around her edges after giving birth, which deeply affected her confidence.
In 2012, with nothing effective on the market, Gail and Matt decided to take matters into their own hands. Together, they researched ancient ingredients and combined their knowledge to create the very first Watermans products. Their innovative formulas were designed to address their personal hair challenges, and today, they have helped thousands of others do the same.
Gail and Matt have always believed that true success is measured by how much we give back to those in need. That’s why we donate our Grow Me Hair Growth Shampoo to chemo wards across the UK, comforting those who need it most. We also channel some of our profits into donating to community trusts supporting underprivileged areas and helping them flourish. We also provided grassroots football kits to many teams.
